STUDIES

I was artistically formed at IED – Istituto Europeo di Design (2001-2003) in Turin, and then at the University of Turin – MultiDAMS (course in Multimedia and Arts, 2003-2005) where I developed my interest for the image (still and moving), all the visual arts in general, but especially videoart. From 2006 to 2011 photography was the main channel of experimentation and expression of my artistic production, leaving my passion for video – temporarily – in pause, but then I moved to mainly video and in 2016 I started focusing on VR (virtual reality) video productions.

PROFESSIONAL HISTORY

I always found photo cameras very interesting, since I was a child. On my 12th birthday I was gifted an Olympus compact camera, 35mm, and that summer, during a holiday trip to Morocco, I enjoyed my first and satisfying photographical experiments. After years of inactivity, following my studies of arts and multimedia, the passion returned in the age of digital photography.

For years I focused only on the feminine “alternative” models subject, finally becoming the manager of the Sickgirl (the italian “spaghetti pinups”) web based project, and some related fashion and advertisements projects. During that period I also made many experiences in the italian TV, magazines, live events businesses, always as an agent/manager and sometimes on the side also as a photographer. Lately I am widening my activity to other subjects, but the human figure is still the center of my production.

I was honoured to see some of my shots published in some of the most prestigious italian newspapers and newsmagazines (il Corriere della Sera, la Repubblica – XL, Fox Magazine, il Mucchio Selvaggio, Millionaire..), I had the chance to shoot many italian celebrities (mainly from the music/TV scene) and to work for (or to collaborate with) many of the most important firms and image/show business agencies.

Since 2008, I am a member of the italian National Professional Photographers Association (TAU Visual).
