Friends (76)About Me
I am an amateur model photographer, mostly focusing on lifestyle and activism, with interests in fashion, lingerie and cosplay.
I am a recent graduate from WWU, with a Major in General Studies focusing in Humanities (Sociology, Anthropology, Communications, and Human Services) with a double Minor in Sociology and Psychology. I work with foster children in a group home, and in the process am honing my photography skills and portfolio. I mostly use my photography in my career as a human rights and services activist. I describe my photography as follows: "An interest to photograph and document societal and human issues with the intent of bringing about active advocacy in all facets of culture." Most of the work I do requires some background knowledge I send to models so that they understand the concepts we're working with in the particular shoot, so models need to be open and accepting to new ideas and different ways of thought. Since I am still working on my portfolio and skills, I will be looking for anyone who wants free shots done of any kind! Message me here to discuss an idea and/or plan a shoot. Also check me out on FB where I post other casting calls and interested works, as well as has my entire portfolio: https://www.facebook.com/pages/Intent-Photography/198898500130698 Ideas I am working on: - "Natural Beauty" - No make-up, natural hair, wearing your most comfortable sleep clothes, whatever it is. The idea is to love yourself as you are, with no need to be dolled up. I chose sleep clothes because the morning is one of the socially expected "worst times" of the day to be seen by non-intimate individuals. - Concept of childhood/adulthood and sexuality focusing on the analogy of the childhood "classic" "Red Riding Hood." I need a girl to play Red Riding Hood, who (with make up if needed) can pass for just hitting puberty (Jr High age, if you will), a man to play the Wolf, and an older woman to play the Grandmother. I'm hoping to shoot this outside of a neighbors house in Lacey, WA, so you'd need to be able to travel a bit. - Gender traits and roles. I'd need at least three people, potentially five. I'm hoping I can start with three, of which I'd need a rather masculine looking man, a feminine woman, and a man willing to potentially dress in "drag". If I can get two more, I'd need an "imposing" woman, rather "feminist" in appearance, and an alternative man, somewhat androgynous looking. - The issues of media in social construction, concerning online social media and legal portrayals skewing the true identity of an individual. This would be a different shoot, with someone covered in rigid paper-like clothing, surrounded by documents, newspapers, and a computer or two, and would progress to tearing the paper off, revealing a more "natural" scene. Still in the process of being worked out, this would most likely take an entire day to complete with all the stages. Verified Credits (0)Worked with Intent Photography?
