Emanuel Giella is a Mexican American singer-songwriter who launched his first album in 2019, “Unbroken.” One of the most popular songs of this album was “I’ve Got Your Hand” which was inspired by the love Giella has for his nephew. Giella’s nephew was diagnosed with a rare genetic disease called Coffin-Siris Syndrome. Giella decided to take full custody of his nephew and bring him to Los Angeles to live with him and to get the care he needed. This life-changing experience motivated Giella to continue to write and create his music.
In 2019, Giella also released “No Need to Lie”, featuring Maritza Ruiz. The single is infused with Middle Eastern flavors and a salsa-trap vibe. The single has gone on to garner over 100,000 views on YouTube. In January of 2020, Giella released his most recent single, “My Kind of Night”, featuring Comfort Fedoke, which has also garnered over 100,000 views. The single combines Latin Pop Dance rhythms with Afro-World Beats.
Giella, who was born in Mexico but has lived in Los Angeles for almost two decades, combines genres such as latin, rap, trap, Middle Eastern and Afro-World Beats, creating an exquisite, unique sound. He writes his songs in both English and Spanish reflecting the importance of both cultures and his desire for an all-inclusive environment in which musicians from all different realms of the world come together to create a beautiful track.
Giella studied music at Los Angeles City College and the Songwriting School of Los Angeles. Giella resides in Los Angeles with his husband and nephew whom he has always called his son.
