I shoot infrared almost exclusively. My goal is to shoot pictures I haven't seen. My main subjects are trees and nudes--it's obviously the nude pictures that are relevant here.

When shooting nudes, I try to get images that are private, but not erotic. All nudes, I think, are at some level about sexuality, but the mood I'm after is not the excitement of arousal, but rather a relaxed and comfortable private view of the lover. The fantasy I'm trying to portray is a fantasy of being in love with the model, not being in bed with her.

I prefer to work only with paid models--I'm happy to share a reasonable number of shots with the model if they appeal, or are useful for a portfolio, but I am working on my own art, and can't guarantee that I'll get anything I care to labor over from any particular session.

I am a dilettante, in both the positive and negative senses of the word. I share my work freely with friends, but don't sell it.
