Hello and welcome to my profile

My name is Kate Gordon and I am fully qualified National Diploma Level 3 Makeup Artist from Stroud in Gloucestershire.
Although I am just starting out I have developed a real passion and love for this subject, believing strongly that I'm finally where I'm meant to be. I love the creative process that goes into forming a look and I always put my heart and soul into every project.
I am a very hard working, creative and self motivated individual, who is passionate about what they do. I adapt well to new surroundings, locations and people and am extremely personable and easy to get on with. I believe strongly in being reliable, punctual and professional and have a strong commitment to producing a high quality of work at every shoot/job.....and of course I am always willing to learn from those with skills to offer.

I have experiences of working on Fashion, Bridal, Beauty, Pinup and Lingerie shoots to name a few as well as more specialist body painting, special FX (mainly casualty wounds) and Fantasy commissions.
I am trained in the art of airbrushing Makeup and body art as well as the making of postiche, bald caps and small prosthetics.

Recently I competed in my regional heat of the Worldskills Media Makeup competition 2011, where I won 2nd place for my magical Peacock body paint and costume design.
This gave me the opportunity to compete at the National Final against 10 other talented students from around the UK. I scooped 1st place Gold for fantasy Alien body paint and costume design.

I work mainly in the Gloucestershire area but am definitely willing to travel - I'm always on the lookout for new and exciting projects to get my teeth into, so if you are a Model, Photographer of fellow makeup artist looking to collaborate drop me a line sometime.
