Courtney Clarke was born and raised in beautiful Long Beach, California. While working for a salon at the age of sixteen, she realized she had an intense passion for the beauty industry. It was then she knew that she had discovered her niche and knew what she would have to do to attain her goal.
Anxious to learn every facet of the industry, she began her training as an Esthetician. Once licensed, she received her certificate for microdermabrasion. Although her experience was invaluable, she knew that her ultimate goal was to pursue makeup artistry.
She enrolled in the prestigious Cinema Makeup School in Los Angeles, where in the Master Course she learned from renowned makeup artist Leonard Engleman (Burlesque, Moonstruck, Mermaids, etc…) and two time Emmy winner Ashlee Petersen, among other established and recognized artists in the industry. Courtney’s extensive training skills include Beauty and High Fashion for Runway and Print as well as Film and Television. A month after graduating Cinema Makeup School, she was fortunate enough to participate as a makeup artist for Los Angeles Fashion Week.
In class, Courtney esteemed herself, demonstrating unique and creative artistic abilities with attention to detail and design, extending herself beyond the required assignment. Having graduated, she is now prepared to embark on her career. She is willing to travel or relocate and welcomes you to view a portfolio of some of her work.
