My Name is Deric, originally from Minneapolis, now from the Iron Range. I am in my senior year of college, going to school for Mechanical and Electrical engineering at a school called Iron Range Engineering.
I like to do on site, outdoor shoots because it looks so natural. Although I have recently purchased studio equipment to continue taking indoor photos so i can have fun during the winter too. MY HISTORY:
I got into photography backwards from what i expect most photographers get into it. I took a summer job at a well known studio in MN. I was hired as a part-time/seasonal employee doing the boring stuff. I learned Photoshop a lot faster than my supervisor expected, and was soon bumped up to a permanent job working for the graphics/art director editing all types of photos from senior sessions, baby sessions, weddings, and others. Also, I was responsible for making all graduation cards from scratch, posters, banners and that type of thing. It wasn't until after i had left the company that i developed a love for photography. Ever since then I have been photographing weddings, babies, seniors, and beautiful women.
