My name is Daniel, I am a traditional artist with a BFA in Painting from USM. I work with the human figure, mostly fantasy paintings, medieval portraits, and figure drawings/paintings, though I enjoy landscape work as well. I hope to access local models in order to further these goals. I work with oils, pastels, watercolors, and any drawing materials. I sell original work.
A session with me would typically run about three hours long, a combination of quick poses, long pose(s), and often I will take photographs to be used later as a photo reference. Life drawing sessions are typically unclothed (like in art schools), while portraiture is typically costumed. Alternatively, I may simply shoot for photo references and paint from them.
I've also been experimenting with jewelery, I may need models for that too.
