About Me

About Alexis:

"Alexis is a fourth generation photographer whose familial accomplishments include a wide range of artistic pursuits, not the least of which is photography. At the age of seven she was given a Kodak Brownie, and at eleven, her father gave her a Zeiss Ikon Contina 35mm rangefinder camera. Father-daughter bonding took place over a darkroom created in the kitchen of the family home.

As an adult, Alexis studied lighting and cinematography under John Wynn Tweg, renown documentary filmmaker, and completed a Visual Arts Diploma in Film in the infamous artistic hub of Melbourne Australia, immediately becoming a sought after asset by the Australian Broadcasting Corporation Melbourne, Richmond Access Television, Australia’s Nine Network and as an independent filmmaker.

These creative arenas gave Alexis the opportunity to extend her wings in many areas of filmmaking including but not limited to Studio and ENG camera, cinematography, production management, and post-production. Alexis worked in a wide range of genres including commercial photography, music video production, and video photojournalism.

Presently, Alexis works independently as a professional portrait and wedding photographer and has won more than 105 awards and honours including First Place in the prestigious Better Photo Competition, and has been a multiple exhibitor in the National Geographic World in Focus at Photo Expo in New York. Alexis has has also been featured on Kodak’s Electronic Billboard in Times Square eight times.
Alexis’ work is readily available to be viewed in many print forms, galleries and online publications and her style can be best described as “dramatic”."
