Axe to Grind Designs is the brain child of Danielle James, The new line, “Redundant Excess”, focuses on bringing to light the waste and greed associated with the mining, manufacturing, and marketing of major jewelry corporations. We are fascinated by the look of diamonds, rubies and pearls, but have decided to forgo the excess cost and ethical upheaval, and have handmade our own version. Using steel wire to draw the images of gems, diamonds, pearls, and rubies, traditionally used to adorn the body, we've attempted to combine these design aesthetics with our own. We think the result is pretty bad ass... Come to the show to make up your own mind!
