My name is Raquel, but feel free to call me Rara.
I am a former model, an on and off again Photographer, a Cosmotologist, a self-taught Linguist, a writer, and mainly, a Digital Artist.

I am currently getting my BFA in Graphic Design, however I have freelanced now for about 8 years doing various design work and art for various people and companies. I have been drawing and painting for my entire life. Above all, I'm an artist at heart.

-If you are a model, I ask that you personally get permission from the photographer before I start work. If you do not do this, there could be serious legal consequences for both of us.

-I need to see the images you would like me to retouch before I will agree to retouch them.

-Many people have requested portraits painted from pictures. I can do this, but know now that my paintings are very serious and take me over 100 hours to paint.

-If you want me to add things to your picture that are not in your picture, I am going to need stock images to work with, stock that you have permission to use.

-I cannot work without knowing what you want. If you want changes made to your image, you need to be specific about what those changes will be, and provide external examples for me, if necessary. The more information I have about what you want, the better the final image or images you receive will be.

-The image or images you provide me MUST be high resolution. This means at least 150 dpi, and more than 1000x1000 pixels. I can work with camera RAW images as well. The bigger your image is, the better quality my retouching will be.

-I need to know that you or your photographer will allow me to use the retouched and unretouched image in my portfolio. This is for self promotional purposes only.

-You may inquire about doing TFP work, but I will only accept if I have the free time and I like your image or images and I feel they'd add something to my portfolio.

-I need to be paid up front, I won't start on a project until payment and files have been received.

-Prices are solely based on the image you ask me to retouch, what you have me doing to that image and how big that image is. All of those factors can change how long I am working on an image. This is why my prices are not going to be listed here, as I prefer to give personal quotes.

-Prices will be much higher for paintings. The paintings I produce are extremely large files and take an incredibly long time to do.

-Prices can be negotiable. If you only have a set budget, let me know and I can tell you if I can do your project for that price.

-In your original quote, I will let you know what services I will have to render, and how long they will take me to do, approximately.

-I will send you progress reports as I complete the different steps in your image, and I expect feedback from you before continuing.

-I don't want to rush, so don't expect me to do rush type jobs. I won't be able to provide you with the best quality if I have to work fast.

-Please remember I have other clients and scholastic responsibilities so if it takes me awhile to get to you, it's not because anything is wrong. I promise I'll get to your message eventually.

-Remember that I won't start on your image until I have received all necessary files and payment. Please let me know when you have sent me payment and your files, so I can check that everything is there and then begin on your project.

-Of course I can produce different finishing styles of your image for you, or colors of things in the image, just let me know before I begin your project what you would like done.

-I can provide you with different sized versions of your images if you would like, just let me know if you want different sizes, otherwise I will return the image to you in the same resolution and size it was given to me (You give me a camera RAW image, you get a camera RAW image, you give me a 2000x3000 pixel JPEG, you get a 2000x3000 pixel JPEG).

-Expect that we will exchange more than a couple of emails before I begin working on your project, and then when we reach each checkpoint with your image. I like to be certain that I know what you want before proceeding at each step.

-I reserve the right to turn down any project, I will automatically turn down any projects that I find offensive or inappropriate.

-Mistakes and misinterpretations still happen as I'm only human, please bear with me, I will fix any mistakes I make.

-Beauty is in the eye of the beholder! I can only do so much with what you give me, and the ideas you present to me. If left to my own devices, I could end up producing something very different from what you like, and this is because I'm an extremely eccentric person. So remember to know exactly what you want!
