Abby Zapalac always loved art, whether it hung on a wall in a museum or was painted on someones face, she knew her future job title would end or begin with the word "Artist".
Growing up she loved to watch her mother work as a cosmetologist, and was enamored by how easily a person could be transformed by the hand of a skilled professional. So it was obvious to her that it was her calling.
While in high school she attended a dual credit program for cosmetology, so when she graduated, she left high school with a license and a diploma.
Abby is a recent graduate of Make-Up Designory where she completed the Master Program. The program consisted of HD makeup, Airbrushing, Hairstyling, Special Effects Makeup, Prosthetic Application as well as Construction, and a Business Course.
She has worked on various photo shoots and has done hair and makeup for countless special events. She enjoys all fields of makeup but wants to specialize in special FX makeup.
She plans to further her experience and follow her passion for special FX, by working on film and television, as well as print.
Her goal is to find inspiration in unusual places, everyday objects, looks from the past, or other art forms and create something new and imaginative, with a personal twist.
