Scott La Rockwell has always been fascinated by camera's he used to play with his family's polaroid while growing up. He was always artistically inclined spending large amounts of time drawing and doing creative things. He never became formally trained as an artist, he was always preferred to be self taught. In high school he took a photography class but didn't have the patience for the darkroom. So instead took up writing graffiti and moved on. All the while taking photos of other graffiti writers pieces and parts of his life. Fast forward to 2006 Scott started tour managing for a hip hip artist by the name of Del The Funkee Homosapien. He picked up a new toy this time a polaroid 680 SLR. He traveled for a year and some change on tour with his trusty polaroid. In 2008 Scott decided to take a break from the touring lifestyle and get back into painting and design. While working for a friend, Scott was given a Canon 5d. It was love at first sight. After half a year of playing w/ the 5d Scott was offered a paid travel documentary gig to Japan. From that point on, he has never looked back. Since then he has worked nonstop to refine and teach himself the craft of photography. He enjoys shooting nature landscapes, city life, action sports, musical artists and as of recently fashion.
