I'€™m Michelle Renae White and I'€™d like to open up your mind. I do not wish to take photographs of pretty flowers or spectacular sunsets. I like to dig deeper; into the parts of society people reject or ignore. My work can come across as insulting which is understandable. However I can only hope that you will take a minute to experience it beyond the visual.
My biggest passion and goal with my artwork is to pull any sort of emotion out of you. If, after viewing my work, you begin to ask questions yourself, or even, of yourself then one of my many goals has been reached. In my work I seek out the reality of life, even if the reality shown is opposite of what is believed to be the truth.
For the past three years I have attended the Academy of Art University, earning my bachelors degree in Photography. Prior to college, I had two years experience with black and white film photography. In my five years of experience I have developed technical skills through Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Lightroom and use each program on a daily basis. Last year I focused on photographing bands in concert, including: Carinifex, All Shall Perish, and Conducting from the Grave. In recent months, I have had the fortune to work alongside commercial director Stephen Reedy and established artist Alex Pardee; taking behind the scenes photographs of the commercial "Aliens vs. Predator".

I HAVEN'T UPDATED THIS IN A LONG TIME.
I haven't stopped taking photos, but I have taken a break over the past couple of months. My mother passed away in February and I've only recently started getting back into my career. In the next few months I'll be back to setting up photo shoots. :)
