My name is Quintin Michael Kelly.
I am a classically trained Artist/Photographer, and Ive worked Professionally in the industry for the better part of a decade. Both as an H.S. Instructor teaching Intro & Advanced 35mm Photography and as a Field/Studio Photographer. Suffice.., i know how & what takes a Great Photograph. There are however, a great many wonderfully affable, technically proficient Photographers on MM that can stake that claim.. And If all you want is a clean well exposed image that looks great, but doesn't really say or mean anything? You are almost certainly better off w/ a more pragmatic sensibility. As My appetites are for a much less conventional fare. A mostly thankless & unseen gesture toward the Gods of Art comprised of tireless effort, tedious study & a Masterful touch. Conception with Intention through to thoughtful Execution. All the Magic with Time & Light.. A Lie, to tell the Truth. I Love this little dance We do with the Truth in Art's Name.. And My given Skill if i've any?. Lies in finding & enlightening these subtle Truths especially juxtaposed with & within the outrageous or the absurd. In Folk Lore & Fantasy. Fairy Tales. Superheroes/Villains.. Nature & Nurture. Predator & prey. Sex & Love. Dreams & Memories.. All inclusive. & Without the restraints of Taboo or fear of Faux Pas. I am a Storyteller at heart. An Artist. For better or worse.. And, at my Best.. I am capable of making a genuine, legitimate attempt at Creating Real Art. High Art. Complete w/ Capital Letters & phoney kisses. But I, most likely & almost certainly will, swing & miss.. But if i do & when,. i promise it will be swinging for the fences like Casey fuckin Jones.. And because these shared stories/heroes occupying our collective consciousness are so much My own source of and nourishment for Inspiration.. I wholeheartedly believe that they deserve a better class of gentleman mother fucker to help usher them back into crispy tight rack focus.. And so, Im Gonna Give It To Em.. It is after all, The Jester's primary obligation.. Speaking Truthfully/Candidly to the King & His Court in Service to his Kingdom. And to Keep Ones head; helps to know a little Song and Dance..
