My name is Sarah Cronin and I am currently in my senior year at Mass. College of Art and Design in Boston getting a BFA in Fashion Design. When I graduate college I plan to go to Paris to intern as I was already there this past summer and fell in love with it and have built some steady connections there. But for now, I have my senior collection. For our senior thesis, we are assigned to create a line or collection of five outfits under any genre or theme we so choose. I am creating a woman's spring ready-to-wear collection based on the theme of growing into your own and becoming who you are from Tim Burton's film Alice in Wonderland and 18th Century Menswear like that of what Lewis Carroll wore when he wrote the book in 1865. We have to complete three of the outfits before our review in December 2010 and then the last two will have to be completed by MassArt's Senior Fashion Show in May of 2011. I was referred to this website by a friend who does photography and make-up as I was fretting to her about how I had no idea where I was going to find my models, as we have to supply everything for our part of the show ourselves. I am looking for other hard working artists and designers who can help me and in turn I can help by giving them things to boost their portfolios as well.
