About Me

Ge’ne Clem’s ability to process color and shapes into dimensions, visual adaptations of the simplicities of our focus into works that soothe the soul, has been an interesting progression – a journey that took him from fine art painting to the art of hair design and now to photography.

While attending Vessigny Secondary School in Trinidad and Tobago, Ge’ne Clem was taught to see the beauty of color through a vast number of mediums. He later worked as a hair stylist for over 20 yrs and is now retired as owner of Trenz Hair Salon in Brooklyn. Ge’ne Clem moved to Peachtree City Ga. wondering where the journey called life would take him, he found photography and taught himself to see through the eyes of the lens, well versed with the digital process, he was rather fortunate to have forged a friendship with Stephen Brownlee - master darkroom printer at The Serenbe Photography Center with whom he is still learning the traditional processes of photography, he has also attended workshops with Artist, instructor Michael West and Robin Davis.

Artist statement,

Though restrained by my troubles and pain I still realize my treasures, so with spills of my soul I ceaselessly toil to forge a stain that shall be remembered.
Take my journey, see my soul and if your heart wills it, love me! I say, love me for from within me flows infinite beauty...
