Hello!

I am Darius Tarėla (1977), born and raised in Kaunas. I was introduced to photography during my childhood, it was my hobby and working with images really impressed me at the time. I started my career as a photographer in 1999 filming TV shows and reports. Later on I've had an unexpected possibility to work and improve my knowledge in the musical television show "Pop TV" ("Pop Center"). Since 2002 I switched to sole photography and regularly prepared model portfolios (professional photograph folders) for modeling agencies. I've successfully developed my skills while working with Lithuanian magazines such as A - Zet, Stilius plius, Stilius, Klubas, Mes, Moters savaitė, Ekstra sveikata, Ekstra panelė, Sveikas žmogus, Indigo, Lilit, Joy, Express Mada, L'Officiel Mada, Miesto IQ" etc. All those years of work gave me priceless experience in both photography and communication. Willing to specialize in fashion photography with sincere help from my friends I've established a fashion publication called „Express Moda" (L'Officiel Mada) in 2006. I've had help from everyone that knew about fashion and we published my fashion photographs in our magazine. In time we had achieved teamwork with various professionals: graphics designers, stylists, decorators, make-up artists, hairdressers, photographer's assistants. Since 2009 I mainly work with advertisement projects, participate in fashion photography seminars and trainings in USA (Los Angeles) as it inspires consistent development.

I use Profoto lighting systems, Kupo Grip, Manfrotto light lifting winches and stands, professional digital „Canon EOS-1Ds Mark III" camera. For picture editing I use special modern Rack Pro system computer software, which enables exceptional photo preparation for publishing and internet. Since 2003 I specialize in advertisement studio photography and use complex backgrounds, additional lighting and photo models- extras.

Currently I am an independent professional freelancer, so fluent and competent work is guaranteed. I am willing to work in personal, fashion and advertisement photography. I will choose the best solutions for you and your clients and find the best ratio between price and quality for the end customer. I am always open for cooperation and new idea development.
