Christopher Mellgren arrived in Nashville via the Boston area, nine years ago. Weddings and memorable family get-togethers were the mainstay of his photography business there. He also used his photographic talents to help promote area charities and volunteer projects along with social and sporting events. Sponsors of those events included Fidelity Investments, the National Braille Press and Good Sports. Some of the most memorable ones for Chris were the National Marathon for the Blind and various charity events and fund raising galas, especially when they benefited children. One such event featured sports figure David Ortiz playing wiffle ball with local children. Several of his shots were published in local and national newspapers and magazines.

Since arriving in Nashville he has expanded his interests and talents into the fashion market through his association with the Nashville Fashion Group web site. As a guest at many local fashion shows, he began this facet of his career shooting highlights of the presentations for the hosting groups. Through this group he also learned about a Couture Magazine fashion show in Franklin. More opportunities became available to him through his association with the magazine leading to one of his most exciting to date; the chance to photograph the events of the Iceland Fashion week as well as a cover photograph for the magazine.

In his 'spare' time, Chris enjoys cycling, and photographing the beautiful area gardens and fireworks. He looks forward to more opportunities and challenges in fashion photography.
