As a recent design graduate, an avid snowboarder and skateboarder, I have always been drawn to art, sports, fashion, and modeling and the strong influence each has in such a creative and innovative industry.
I am very computer proficient, have worked in retail and promotional modeling. I recently interned for a contemporary clothing designer and a stylist. Having worked in the apparel industry, I am seeking to gain further experience and I am also interested in eventually designing a swimwear line of my own. My education , computer skills, and skills in textile design, fashion design, fine arts, and illustration highly qualifies me for employment.
In June of 2009, I completed my Associates of Arts Degree in Textile Knitwear Design at the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising/FIDM. In addition to FIDM, I have also studied Fine Arts at Otis College of Design and Fashion Design at California Design College. The various paintings, sculptures, and illustrations I have done have been highlighted through show casings at these schools. In addition to my studies I have worked as a retail sales associate in clothing and in textiles.
