Charla is a filmmaker and self-taught photographer. She received a Master's degree in Television, Radio and Film from the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University.

Based in New York City and having a traditional documentary style, she is focusing her interests on fashion, editorial and portraiture.

She continues to produce, shoot and edit videos for What The Fresh, the site and company that she cofounded with Alexis Casson. She is the Co-creator and Executive Producer of the webisode "Whatever Happens Next."
