Why do people have their pictures taken in their Sunday best?? We believe portraits should say more about the REAL you!
TwistedPix is the bastard child of Bekah Baker and Shaun Davies. Spawned in 2008 from the desire to showcase people like us rather than trying to make them fit into the typical photo shoot look. We believe that you should be proud of your tattoos, piercings and style; just as we are. Bekah has been a photographer for almost 20 years, with her interest in the field really coming to the fore in the last 6 years. She is an avid macro photographer and loves showcasing the unusual! Bekah is self taught in Photoshop and also deals with a lot of the re-touching involved in the business. Shaun has been working as a professional Photoshop re-toucher in the advertising industry for longer than he cares to remember. When he's not dealing with the advanced photographic re-touching for TwistedPix he is generally assisting in the studio or occasionally we even let him loose with a camera! TwistedPix aims to promote the beauty of the Alternative community, to give people the chance to feel amazing in their skin, no matter how much of it is even visible anymore! We also get a real kick out of photographing your band, and fully support tribute and local bands trying to make their way in the music industry. We strongly believe that everyone should be comfortable with how they look, and not made to pretend to be something they're not for the photos on the wall. Anyone is welcome, whether you've ever been in a photographic studio or not, we will endeavour to make it as pleasurable an experience as we can! You can come and show off your new ink or metal, that killer corset you just had to buy or even your motorbike. Hi Twistedpix I noticed that you are a photographer and from the Birmingham area. There is a networking event that i think would be very beneficially for you for the field that your in. There will be a few modeling agents scouting and photographers. Its a networking event for people in the field of Media, so models, dancers, actors, make up artists, director, cameramen, designers, stylists, photographers etc will be there. It will be a great way to get more work, exposure and knowledge of you field. I thought that i would let you know since you live in the west midlands and the event is in Birmingham.
