This year marked my 17 years in the beauty industry. Those years has given me great educations and experiences to embark in a new endeavor, which is my own business. I opened Salon KaoVey.

In 2009, I got my Master of Fine Art at New York University, Tisch School of the Arts. In 2010, I dedicated hair as my main propriety over dance. That year, I won "€œBest Hair Artist"€ at the San Francisco Fashion Awards and was the First Prize Winner of the KMS Stylist Session Search contest.

My experiences included working for Red Door Spa Elizabeth Arden and Midoma Hair Salon in New York City. I started my career at Diva International Salon studying under Diva Poulos. During my time there, I became an accomplished well-rounded hair stylist specializing in advanced cuts, colors, up-do'€™s stylings, and now certified Keratin straightening treatment. At Diva, I was later promoted as Director, where I taught many up-do's classes.

Now, I am excited to have Salon KaoVey and continue to service my clients and building new guests will be my devotion. Beside working in the salon, my love for editorial and fashion has leaded me to Model Mayhem, where I hope to network, market, connect with other artists, find clients, and most important to create fresh and amazing looks for my portfolio to show to agencies and future clients.
