Terry D. is an innovative Master Stylist and Extension Specialist from Chicago, Illinois with over 20 years of experience in the hair industry. While Terry D. is an Extension and Natural Hair Care Specialist, her skills stretch far beyond that. Before beginning her training, Terry was styling hair for family & friends, but took a hiatus, and although a dream deferred, it’s still a dream yet realized and passionately sought after. Terry realized that this was a gift from God, that she didn’t want to waste. Shortly thereafter, she received her formal training through rigorous courses at Regency Beauty Institute in Darien, Il. Her education and passion for the industry didn’t stop with Regency. Terry has attended classes through Design Essentials, as well as attending hair shows and haircutting and coloring seminars.

She is currently a stylist for a fashion label, Wanda Grace and has experience with weddings, plays, videos, and photo shoots. Terry is currently the owner of Shears & Strands Salon. She is also currently Wardrobe styling for Photo shoots.

Terry composed The Hair Affair (hair show) in August, 2010 to feature some of Chicago’s cutting edge stylist, along with herself as platform artists.
