Even though I "officially" launched Brooke Whicher Photography in 2010, I have been shooting since I could hold a camera. I'd often sneak off with my dad’s 35mm Minolta (film) camera. I guess you could say that I follow in the footsteps of my grandfather, Willy, who I never had the opportunity to meet. He traveled across the country with his family and documented his adventures on film. I like to think that he passed down his passion and eye for photography to me.

I describe myself as a photo-journalistic and lifestyle photographer and if given the choice, I always prefer to shoot in natural light. I strive to expose the often-overlooked details through my work and help others see their natural, inner beauty.
