About Me

I'm Emily, and I am a 21 year-old makeup artist living in Chicago.

My love of makeup stems from my love of transformation. Taking a model and transforming them into an entirely different being, watching them internalize the character they now outwardly resemble is why I am so passionate about my work.

I suffered an ankle injury November 2009. Instead of sulking in my loss, I turned to a passion that I had put off for dance. For years I had worked backstage in my high school's drama department, loving every second of it. So, on a whim, I applied for an internship at Nightshade Manor Haunted House. To my surprise, I got the job. I fell in love with the gruesome and the macabre. Halfway through the internship, I was offered an opportunity to work as a paid makeup artist. I fully embraced my new position, and was featured in the Commercial Appeal for my creation of a vomiting girl.

Now, I am in college in Chicago, where I am majoring in Theater Design and Costume Design.
