My name is Miguel Perez Lem, and I'm an artist and professional photographer located in Washington, DC, where I work out of my own studio.

Traveling around the world has inspired me to learn and improve my ability to see and capture what the world can offer. My point of view is quite complex… thanks to living in many places around the world, assimilating diverse cultures and learning other languages: Portuguese, Spanish, English, Italian, French and Hebrew.

AVAILABIILITY:
I am an established portrait and fashion photographer. If you are looking to start or update your portfolio with high quality, intriguing images, I should be able to undertake most of your requirements at very reasonable rates. If you need interesting new additions to your portfolio, let me know. I work very hard on new ideas and concepts.

Please note: I am only doing TFP/CD for models that suit my portfolio or projects. Don't let that stop you inquiring, however, as you might be what I am looking for. If not, my rates for standard portfolio work are very reasonable!!

I am also available to work on small or large projects for companies in the fashion industry. I am willing to travel, nationally and internationally too, with cost + expenses covered by the client. I shoot many different styles and try to bring out the best in the models and the fashion catalog for which I work.

WHAT IF I (the model) AM NERVOUS? / HOW WILL I KNOW WHAT TO DO?:
A photography session is invariably fun and always busy, so really, you won't have time to worry about being nervous or self-conscious. It's just you and the photographer, the warm studio lights and some cool club tunes going on in the background helping set the mood.

If the shoot occurs in my studio, there is a changing room/bathroom for freshening up and as much tea, coffee and juice as you like.

Apart from that, all you have to do is put yourself in my hands. Aside from taking the shots, I'm also there to advise you on what outfits and combinations look best, and to get you looking your best with attractive and professional poses. I can do basic makeup and hair, but if the project requires more complex work, I have a stylist that I can hire as well.

I'm also there to respond to your ideas and thoughts on what you want to get out of the session, and while I do generally work with my own style esthetic in mind, I'm always happy to see any pictures or illustrations you want to bring along, that you might have seen in magazines etc.

WHEN WILL I GET MY SHOTS?
All your selected shots will be saved to CD as jpeg files with downsized versions of the final selection for easy uploading. In general, please allow seven days, depending on workflow. As soon as they are complete, I will also post the best of the shoot on the internet and send you a link to preview them.
