David’s father introduced him to photography. At 9 years old he would help in his father’s darkroom.
In high school he joined the yearbook and school paper staff. In his second year he was appointed head photographer. Staff photos included sports, dances, events and students. David won several awards in photography from the CVSJA (Central Valley Scholastic Journal Association). David also worked at a Professional photographers studio. At the studio he was introduced to professional portraiture. At the same time he was helping shot weddings with his father.

After high school David entered the Navy. In the Navy he shot accident investigations, crime scene investigation, movie news, aerial, portraits, weddings and host of other events.

Leaving the Navy David attended college majoring in photography and business.
He worked with a professional photographer in Santa Clara. Adding fashion photography to his skills.

David now owns and operates his own photography business. IfgaPhotography.
