Magnus Hastings came up through the London Gay scene and quickly gained recognition as one of the forerunners of his type of the pop art photography. playing with campy ideas when it was not fashionable to do so and embracing drag queens as a subject and study.

He completely revamped the Gaydar franchise in 2009 and has been published throughout the gay press in magazines such as Attitude (uk) ,AXM (uk), Bent (uk), QX international (uk), Blue (australia), Boyz (uk), Nois (spain) to name a few.

His pictures have been sold worldwide and he has donated images to charities to help raise money.

Magnus published a calender of his drag stars "dragged into 2011" and his work has been featured in many coffee table books including "kissed" Shoreditch Unbound" and "D.R.A.G" to name but a few, He is a major contributer to Boy George's "King OF Queens" limited edition picture book which was released late 2011.

Magnus has also worked with many pop stars and musicians , including Ellie Goulding, the Saturdays ,Charlotte Church, Cheryl Cole, Lawson, Coverdrive, Girls Aloud, Paloma Faith, We Are Scientists, Sugababes, McFly, The Puppini Sisters and Sophie Ellis Bextor.

Magnus is also well known for his work with many cabaret stars including Pam Ann, Meow Meow, Bourgeois and Maurice, Frisky and Mannish, Tina C and extensively with British burlesque star Immodesty Blaize.
