Upon first glance, one would think I’m just a petite little pink-haired punk girl. While outwardly that is certainly what I project, I am actually a behavioral neuroscientist. I’m not a neurosurgeon. I’m certainly not a shrink. But my passion in this life is determining the neural correlates of functions (and dysfunction) like language, addiction, aggression and love.
Aside from my obsession with the three pound bundle of neurons, glial cells and CSF that we all carry around in our skulls, I’m a singer/songwriter/pianist. Most of my songs were inspired by a vertically impaired little twerp on whom I wasted the better part of my twenties. But I think the subject is something to which most of us can relate, so I have no regrets. In fact, the subject matter of my songs fueled my desire to study the psychophysiological etiology of a pandemic known as limerence, that is, mad love.
Modeling is something that has always held an allure. I’m neither tall nor freakishly skinny, so I never dreamt of being on the cover of Vogue. However, I’m cute, photogenic, spunky, and noticeable. I think my “look” would be perfect for gothic/punk/alternative modeling, so I decided that it as time to put myself out there and give it a whirl!
