My name is Malcolm, I'm an hobbyist photographer mostly doing portraits. I'm almost exclusively doing TFP shoots but think professionalism is important regardless, I promise to respect you and your time if you'll respect me and mine (especially 'cuz we're doing this for free) then we can have fun, create beautiful pictures, all that jazz.

I’ve been exploring my artistic side through photography since 2009 and loving it. I started with some black & white film and fell in love with the darkroom. Now I’ve gone digital and spend hours with GIMP. Right now I’m focusing on exploring different types of photography but mainly portraits with models. I love working with people to create images with emotional depth. I’m interested in macro photography and great locations; I also have a basic in-apartment studio setup with backdrop, flash, and lighting.

A model (male or female) who is willing to be fun, willing to explore, and involved in the process will be perfect for me. I'll admit I'm straight up better at shooting women but I definitely still work with men on a good concept. I generally try to achieve a simple, classy, captivating image. I have a huge backlog of project concept ideas in the near and long term. They each require different levels of preparation from get up and go this week to more planning and involvement. I am also open to working on whatever you are looking to do to find something we can both gain from.

Right now I am pursuing photography as a hobby and doing trade / collaboration shoots so I’m open to doing a wide variety of shoots, looks, etc. The more creative the idea the better for collaboration, but I am also starting to get interested in paid work from time to time. I’m strictly TFP on my concept shoots and mostly TFP for a basic shoot for your portfolio (see my rates). If you want to work with me and have specific needs, let me know.

I shoot with a Canon EOS 40D, Speedlight 430EX II, 2x 300W strobe + softbox, and when I have access to a darkroom a Canon EOS Rebel S.

For a standard TFP shoot I've found that I generally provide around 10 full resolution photos per hour, with varying degrees of editing. Possibly a few more unedited. Anything I find of quality to use myself I will provide to you. However, I generally will not provide all photos from the shoot, to keep the quality of my work high. I try to provide photos within 2 weeks, I have never flaked on getting photos back to a model; if you are volunteering your time to shoot with me I will respect it.
