Photography is not just a hobby for me or a means of earning a living. It’s a way of preserving memories and sharing experiences, an art form that should be celebrated.
I have had a passion for photography for as long as I can remember. Since a child I was delighted in how a moment can be captured through the lens of a camera, and how time stands still within the frame of a photograph.
As a student, I developed my skills as a photographer by successfully completing photography courses at Degree level. I have also gained experience of media and advertising by completing a Post Graduate Diploma, which has helped put my skills into context and provided me with essential business and presentation skills.
I am now an affiliated Licentiate member of the Masters Photographic Association (MPA) and am steadily building up my own photography business, Michael Johnson Studios. This is a challenging, yet exciting time in my professional life, and I am enjoying every minute.
Every project I embark on, whether large or small, I approach with professionalism and a will to deliver quality and value to my clients. However, I believe that exceptional photographs can only be taken in a relaxed and comfortable atmosphere, and so make every effort to make sessions as enjoyable as possible and put clients at ease.
