I often find myself at odds with 'normalcy.' In a world filled with people hungry for conformity, I pride myself on saying that I firmly retain a true sense of identity and individuality, one that succeeds both ego driven certitude as well as brash naivety. While physique and image are undeniably vital attributes in regards to physical glamor, they are mistakenly considered as the sole requisites to one's overall beauty. I have spent my youth and young adulthood avidly proclaiming that intellect, attitude and presence just as prominently factor into the equation as well. These particular virtues, which the mainstream's comprehension of "beauty" subsequently lacks, are what attracts me to entities like Model Mayhem. Why anyone would pigeon hole their perspectives to the covers of Vouge and Cosmopolitan is beyond me. There are so many other levels of gorgeousness and gracefulness, to strip that down to an Abercrombie & Fitch advertisement or a Victoria Secret commercial would be the same as denying humanity itself.
