Hello to all,

Thanks for stopping by my MUAH portfolio. I have been working with various east coast based photographers for a few years doing both hair and makeup. I have experience in both beauty/glamour and character makeup styles and I tend to favor creative and crazy ideas more. If you have a cool idea, let's work together.

I am currently based out of Arlington, Virginia, but I grew up in Tokyo, Japan. Specifically, I grew up in Shibuya, Harajuku, Yokohama and Kamakura. From 16 to 21 years old I was a Tokyo Drifter and I spent my formative years hanging with Japanese teenage artists like myself. (slight note, I am an ex-pat american, not japanese) ;)

I graduated from Graham Webb Beauty School in 2006 and I having been working on building my hair and makeup portfolio ever since. If you are a photographer or model looking for a MUAH for a cool concept idea, send me an email, i am currently building both the creative art and glamour sections of my portfolio.

Of course... being a model, a makeup artist and a hairstylist for the past few years also means that I have "ventured" into wardrobe styling... specifically, I have started designing mini hats, headbands, veils, and hair clips adorned with sequins, feathers, ribbons, flowers and lace. I consider these items "hair art accessories" for photos. Bring on the vintage glamour and bling !!!

My rates are reasonable and "somewhat" flexible for those looking to build either their photography or modeling portfolios. My rates are for the "total look", meaning I do BOTH the hair and makeup for the model. If you are a "new" model and want to work with me, feel free to contact me for help in building your portfolio. I can also suggest and recommend local DC based photographers who I enjoy working with.

For photographers running workshops, I also have reasonable (beauty/glamour) workshop MUAH rates (1/2 day & full day), and makeup change rates.

***** IMPORTANT ***** PHOTOGRAPHERS PLEASE READ *****
photographers, when I work with you, I will REQUIRE headshots of my work, close up shots on the makeup (with eyes open & closed on the model, to show the eyeshadow etc.). Shots from the bust up are a MUST for my portfolio. I understand that we all are busy, but please keep the "photoshop editing time" to under 4 weeks. I have no desire to "wait & wait & wait" on an image. I only need ONE AWESOME image for my port. I love speedy turn-around-times.

I have worked with lots of people.... I am the makeup artist and hairstylist for Retro lovely Magazine. I work with Ceasars' Workshops in the DC Metro and I am a published stylist in the Color Edition, Passion Beauty Book, Volume 7.
