My name is Harrison M. Henke and I am a freelance artist living in Sarasota Fl. I received my bachelors degree in 2008 in fine art / illustration. I enjoy expressing the darker inner memories desires and emotions in modern paintings and mash-ups of art techniques like graphic illustration. I believe in subtle story telling through subtle gestures, compositions and lighting. I am, as are most artists, a very strong believer on research before the execution of a piece. I look for those who are ready and open to share my vision and embellish upon it if they wish. Those who are willing and brave enough to provoke new thoughts in closed minded people. As an artist I am not trying to make art , but make sense of the world i am experiencing. The world always needs something new in the way it thinks of art and I am ever searching for this. I have done local work for surf and skate shops and companies as well as clothing designs and promotional material for various local events. My work has been viewed in various galleries and shows across the state as well as the first edition of the new annual Ringling 100 art book.
