Friends (45)About Me
I originally set out studying to be a fashion designer in the UK and still delight in the textures, colours, and forms of fashion throughout the ages. My first jobs were all in mainstream advertising agencies in London before I decided to spend a few heady years heading up the art department of an Ad Agency in Dubai. On Returning to London, I moved into the design industry working on global brands that went all the way across from biscuits (cookies to you), to airlines like British Airways. While I was doing this I was also making videos as well as lots of pack photography.
The next major move was to set up my own company and serviced London's leading Advertising and Design agencies with design work, reprographics, artwork, photography, retouching and image manipulation and project management. After a few years an opportunity that would mean selling the company came up and I started working for a well known US digital Agency based in London. Even though I was mainly managing resources and projects, I was still able to stay hands on with art buying and directing photoshoots. Working as the Creative Services Director, I was transferred here to San Francisco. Some time after my Green Card application came through, I decided to go back to my creative roots and work for myself again as a full time photographer. I'm very flexible as a creative and can move comfortably from one style to another. Just like fashion, images are constantly drawing from diverse genres and I love the fun of trying to second guess the next big trend. As well as assignments I regularly submit work to image stock libraries. The technical requirements that have to be achieved are good for building a level of technical discipline into all the work that I do which means that 99% of what I shoot can be used for high spec print as well as in electronic media. One of the really fun things about shooting people is watching them transform as their personalities out into the open. When I'm not shooting for work I am out capturing people in the streets.
