I am an "All-Around" Artist/Musician/Recording Engineer who has gotten into Photography across the last 6 years or so, under the guidance of my Uncle, who is President of the local Camera Club and who has 50 or so years of experience. He has been a huge influence, but I prefer to use more PhotoShop for Conceptual purposes rather than simple retouching of traditional photography. My "Proper Skills" are still growing, but for me, the camera is just a part of the equation. Composition is equally significant, and then PhotoShop allows me to come closer to realizing my vision for any given image, whether it be subtle retouching, or complete re-contextualization of the subject. Most of my photography to date has used my wife as my muse, but that is mostly due to convenience and her beauty. Other work is welcome as it comes my way, though I don't go out to chase models. I have occasionally done re-works of photographs taken by my Uncle, but everything which I've posted here is my own work, from photo to post-production.
I am Incredible at Nothing, but Pretty Good at lots of things, and Photography is another avenue for me to express myself along with my music, painting and general style. A painter/photographer friend told me about the site and suggested that I join, and after looking around, I agree that it appears to be a good resource for both connecting with others as well as (More Importantly) observing the work of others to analyze and learn. I approach the field with respect, and I'm glad to work with models who can appreciate the same.
