I’ve been taking photos from a very young age. The first time I realised that this was what I wanted to do for the rest of my live was when I drove past a black sub herb. I saw a few black kids playing next to the road with sticks and bicycle mags. I immediately stopped, took out my camera and asked one of them if I could take a photo of him. Needles to say, the photo came out amazing but the most amazing thing about the photo was the expression. You see, this child looked at me a s a white adult male and this was shortly after the end of apartheid. He felt intimidated by me and it showed on his face.

The rest is history. I have not been able to put my camera down since. Now I do all forms of photography and can not get enough.
