I’m an artist from Madrid, Spain, living and working in Santa Monica

My works are mostly life-sized figures. They range from 10”x10” to 103”x61”. I use acrylic, graphite, inks, and resins to create my images.

My focus is the human figure. I like to work on life size paintings or larger. Usually I choose nakedness to avoid any social reference, dealing with existential issues that can be related to anyone.

The purpose of representing people is a way to magnify their existence and their values. I treat these images as sacred forms, almost as Icons. I try to avoid any social element to make a more universal statement. These are confrontational pieces that face the viewer with the experience of the inner self.

Time is always present. The image is situated in a timeless space, though you can feel the constant motion of time trough it. I go from working in a very minimal way to a more detailed and complex. I use very few elements to create my work. Always trying to avoid excess by constructing and washing out the image.
