For my "day job" I am a professional photographer offering social and commercial photography services throughout Melbourne.

However, my passion is for creating beautiful, erotic images. I have recently been introduced to the art of Shibari and am now looking for some models who would be willing to volunteer to be tied up for their art! The resulting images are not intended for publication, as I am currently practicing and improving my rigging techniques, so I'm not able to offer payment for these assignments, but am happy to provide a selection of images to the model either as prints or as electronic files.

As the image is all about the subject, rather than the surroundings, I am happy to come to you to photograph you in the comfort and security of your own environment. You are obviously welcome to have a friend or partner as a chaperone throughout the session, although I have many models who will happily vouch for me and my professional integrity.

I am not too concerned about body type and would welcome models with piercings or body art. So what is involved, I hear you ask... Well, you will be naked and will need to be patient as I tie you up in one or more different styles. Although I have said that this is Shibari, there is actually an element of Western Fussion rope art involved, but unless you are a purist, you probably wont know the difference. Depending on the complexity of the rope pattern, it could take anything from a few minutes to half an hour to get the right effect - especially if any of the knots need to be adjusted to get them looking just right.

I will bring my own studio lights and will also bring some neutral backdrops and do not require a huge amount of room, so a lounge, conservatory or even bedroom should be more than adequate. I would also like to try to get some more incongruous settings, so if you have a suitable kitchen or bathroom or even staircase, that could well provide an interesting backdrop for the scene.
