Christine Wheaton-owner Femme Akoi. After graduating from the University of Florida with a Bachelor of Fine Arts, I set out starting my company Femme Akoi. I used "Femme", for obvious reasons, meaning "woman" in french and alluding to Femme Fatal, and "Akoi" which is a popular Japanese surname that I chose to reference my Asian background. Plus, I think it sounds sexy and mysterious!

I combine my love for art and a passion for style to create the best makeup application possible. I have been working in the cosmetics industry for over 10 years. Employed by many of the major makeup companies, such as MAC cosmetics and Stila, I became certified in beauty and runway makeup application. Currently I am freelancing in a variety of mediums such as print, film, fashion, special events, and weddings.

I have a high interest in fashion makeup and period makeup. I am looking to network to find more print and magazine work that can satisfy these interests.

Most of my business is in the Tampa Bay Area. However, I have traveled back and forth between the East and West coast, and will go anywhere a job takes me for the proper accommodations. I am professional, punctual, and easy to work with.
