I am a relative newcomer to shooting, but I have received five years of experience in one year. I have worked with a professional makeup artist, serving as her photographer to document her work. My experience includes shooting fashion shows; doing fashion shoots featuring clothes of both local and national designers, and event photography in everything from New Year's Eve formal galas to Chinatown street lion dancers to jazz performances to rock concerts with go-go dancers. My most recent experience has been being a staff photographer for StyleWeek Providence, and shooting the runway shows for the online fashion sites stinescene.com; bostonfashion examiner.com; and bostonfashionindustry.com. The Ultimate Magazine, both in print and online, has printed many of my photographs of various events over the past year. My photos on StyleWeek also appeared in the Rhode Show, a lifestyle daytime program for Providence's Fox TV affiliate. I have had the privilege to work alongside some of the best photographers in New England, and have benefited by their generous sharing of tips and suggestions. My experience includes working with models from the top agencies in the city, including Maggie, Inc., Dynasty Models and Talent, Click Modeling Agency and Model Club. My shooting style is eclectic - I can take very nice and meticulous head shots and beauty shots, or runway shows in the classic, "normal" manner. But I like to mix things up, and try different techniques and perspectives, working with depth of field, black and white and tinting, imaginative cropping, fresh angles, reflected surfaces and other different ways of seeing the photograph and the image. I am passionate about photography and think that as long as you are shooting and looking and thinking, there is always room to grow.
