My passion for makeup artistry and design began to develop at age 12 when I enrolled in advanced art classes specializing in portrait drawing. I was taught the intricate details of facial proportions, shading, color theory, and blending-- all very crucial skills necessary for the successful makeup artist. After graduating from Princeton University in 2004, I worked in print, television, and film as a model, professional athlete, and occasionally as a makeup artist. In 2007, I began to do hair and makeup for my husband's (a high fashion model) test shoots, and after traveling with him around the world and during fashion week and campaign season, I realized that my raw talent for color and design could and should officially be put to use in the industry. Thus, in the beginning of this year, I took the initiative to formally educate myself and perfect my skills as a certified makeup artist.

I have recently completed some makeup courses and private lessons providing me with advanced training in beauty/bridal and runway/fashion makeup. I am currently working on mastering stage/theatre and basic special effects makeup.
