For me, the art is the point. I do not shoot for the money; I shoot for the expression. If I can work to create a striking image, something that tells a story, create a rush of emotion or challenges a perception, then it is worth my time. For me, photography is my escape and my release, so I don't want it sullied to become a chore. If you want to create something, fun, new, edgy, interesting with me...that would be brilliant. I am, at heart, a collaborator.

I jump from style to style. I like sweet and I like spicy. I like edgy or gory, then like cute and adorable. Anything that tells an interesting narrative or creates an image worth studying. I am bored by conventional "model poses". Taking photos of a pretty girl with a slightly interesting background is...tiresome.

I do not claim to be an innovator, but I do not want to rest on the laurels of my craft or the beauty of my subject.

To me, photography is the most surrealistic artform. Unlike other physical art, which uses sweeping emotion to create a sense of movement or action, photographers capture a moment that masquerades as documentary...but taking a single moment...a millisecond of time, trapped in amber and frozen for eternity... it is truly unreal. Photography challenges everything we experience in the world. We hurry, rush, race, push, fight, listen, talk, scream, and stumble. But with photography, we are silent, frozen, timeless, and static.
