Hello, Welcome to my page. Thanks for taking the time to stop and take a look. My name is Jeffrey, I'm a freelance photographer here in Beautiful Phoenix, Arizona. I am looking to expand my portfolio, and venture out into some not so familiar territory. Normally I do a lot of scenery and wildlife photography, but now that I am no longer out on the road, I want to start doing more model and portrait photography. I am very particular about my work because I want my photos to have the quality they deserve. I want to take shots where people will stop and say Wow! I look forward to working with some of the models here at Model Mayhem. I am very easy to get along with, and very laid back.
Few things about me.

I have Loved photography for as long as I can remember, I remember as a kid looking though photos in books and magazines wishing I could do that. While I was in the military, I got to travel extensively overseas, and got the chance to capture some of the place I had been on film. (and yes I started with film, Digital wasn’t avaliable yet.) In later years after I bought my first real camera a Nikon D60 (film), Photography ment a lot more to me, it became a hobby I loved then later an obsession, and I hope it shows in my work. One of my favorite photographers and a Great inspiration to me is: Ansel Adams

I believe the key to great photography is patience. If you rush shots 90% of the time you won't get the quality of the shot the model and you deserve.

Respect is a sign of Professionalism. Remember you are not the only one who’s time is being used. So be Patient!

Where as I don’t get paid to do this, I don’t pay people to model for me. Now having said that, there are exceptions.

If the model has to travel to get to a location, (more then 50miles) I’ll help with gas, I try keeping shoot close.
But if I shoot any of the above, I won’t pay an outrageous amount for someone to model for me. So PLEASE keep this in mind, when contacting me.

When it comes to a model bringing an escort with them to a shoot. My rule is simple, I do not care if they bring one person, or a hundred people, what ever makes them comfortable, as long as whom every they bring doesn’t interfere with me getting the shots I want.

Along those lines: To any people New to Modeling Please do yourself a favor, Always, Always, Always bring an escort with you to every shoot, keep yourself safe. Unfortunately this Profession attracts, more then a few low life’s that use Photography to try picking up woman. (Better Safe Then Sorry.)

A personnel thought along the same lines: If a photographer says they don’t allow escorts at shoots, I’d avoid working with them.

I prefer to use live backdrops, and natural light.

I do not photoshop my work. Any editing that I do is to sharpen, or crop a photo. What you see is how it was taken.

The way I do shoots is simple: I don't design a shoot then look for a model to fit it. I find a model that would like to shoot with me and design the shoot around them. I like themed shoots, every Model has a uniqueness that can be used to your advantage, in creating great photos.
