I'm looking to expand my portfolio of artistic photography with creative models and other paid work. I'm only open to TF* work in very limited situations.

****My background and views****
I have composed photos and other art for as long as I can remember. I spent time photographing for a newsmagazine and now I'm looking to go into wedding and other art photography more deeply.

Growing up in the Sierra Foothills, I have a deep respect and appreciation for the natural world and try to bring aspects of the surrounding world into my work. If possible I prefer to use natural lighting, and incorporate environmental elements in my compositions. I'm comfortable photographing/modeling both in remote locations and urban settings. Portraits should be more than just a backdrop and person, they should tell a story.

I love artwork that is both classic and out of the box. Unusual and beautiful compositions get my attention.

****NUDITY****
I'm not really big on the idea of being photographed or photographing nude unless it's in an extremely tasteful and artistic composition. Nudity for the sake of nudity is not high on my list, but nudity does have a place when done right. I have a deep respect for models, artists, and photographers whom are capable of using the full human figure in a meaningful way.

****Location****
I range everywhere from the San Francisco bay area up to Tahoe, however I consider Sacramento my home range. I prefer to photograph outdoors and know many wonderful places.

FYI I'm also willing to model as well as photograph when appropriate, however my look is average so you better be good at Photoshop.

****Retouching*****
Yes, I retouch photos. If I invest the time to compose the shot, I take the time to do the retouching.

**** PAY ****
Hourly Rates Available Upon Request.

I am willing to work TF* in the right situation but I do require that models sign full releases (why would I take photos if I can't use them???) When doing unpaid TF* work, I'm willing to give models high quality digital copies for their use in portfolios, etc, but require special permission for any other commercial use. Example: if you want to make a calendar out of the photos I composed for your personal profit I could have an issue, if you use them for raising money for a charity, etc, I'm likely to be OK. All things may be discussed.

****CHAPERON****
I encourage models to bring a friend/chaperon if it makes you more comfortable. Your chaperon needs to refrain from interfering in the artistic process and act professional. If you bring a chaperon please expect that I may put them to work holding reflectors or helping in other ways... that usually keeps them from getting bored and we get free help.

****CONDUCT***
Models and photographers need to have good attitudes and willing to respect others opinions but need to be willing to work with direction. You should always feel comfortable, and if any participant feels uncomfortable we need to be free to express that.

I prefer to chat with anyone that I will be working with a fair amount before a shoot. Many problems or miscommunications can be avoided this way.
