I got the idea to start this series when I purchased two Italian ceramic masks and shot them with a Model back in the summer of 2007.

Modeling with a mask has had some interesting effects:

- Your perception of the Model that's wearing a mask versus seeing their identity. The images becomes glamorous in the sense that it conceals as it reveals. Also, it democratizes the Models to a degree. Facial beauty is less a factor an more emphasis is placed on the body and posing.

-The fact that that it's a reasonable assumption that the Model's identity will be hidden they can pose with more daring and freedom than they would and some were willing to do work they normally would not do because their identity is hidden.

Because the Model is meant to be unidentified. I will not credit the Model until someone in the comment of that image correctly identifies the Model. Obviously Models that wish to remain an anonymous will remain uncredited.
