About Me

Let's see now, when did my love affair with the camera start; I guess it was around 1978, I remember thinking then that photography was going to be around for a very long time if not forever so that translated into job security but more than that it was the “SHOT” that captured me.
It wasn’t the money that attracted me although the idea of making as much as an attorney or even a Doctor without all the hassles’ was a big plus however it was really the thought of capturing light and a moment in time that will never be here again that really turned me on.
The art of it all as well as the ability to paint with light and now thinks to the digital world we live in the sky’s the limit. Having said that, all the digital software in the world is for not if you don’t have “The Eye”, if the shots not there in the first place you have nothing. It’s saddens me to see not only the art but also the vocation of many (not all) photographer lost to the rise of digital cameras and the overflowing multitude of would be “professional” (small-p) photographer’s out there who think that just because they can delete the bad shot’s that this ability makes them a photographer, after all if they take enough shot’s there bound to get at least ONE good one.
Enough said, good luck to them all but do yourselves a favor and go out and buy a old Nikon f4, there only a couple hundred bucks now days and try your luck at film, I think you’ll find the small investment well worth it.
I’m been a Professional photographer since 1985 or at least that’s when I shot my first wedding and the rest is history; my studio, FSTOP Studios ©®, closed its door’s (studio doors only) in 2006 and I am now working on the next page of my photographic endeavor’s which is M-agazine ©®, doing all my photography either on location or utilizing the great outdoors as my canvas.
I’m hoping this satisfies the requirements to establish my account but if not I do want to say thank you for your consideration, I’m not use to “asking for permission” to become a part of a web community but if it helps to keeps out the riff raft that’s all good with me.
Thank you again.
