Being a hair AND makeup artist is my art. Fashion, art, music, architecture and color inspire me. I enjoy being part of a vision that evokes emotion. I am interested in working with models and photographers who are passionate, creative and professional.

Below is my salon bio with a little of my background:

Theresa Przybyla
Stylist / Creative Director

Beginning her career in fashion forward Los Angeles, California, Theresa worked as a hair and makeup artist both in the salon as well as on location. She gained her experience creating looks for films, editorials, and fashion photography. After one year in the industry in LA, Theresa moved to Austin where she became a new member of the José Luis Salon in 2006. After 8 months of intense training directly under José, she joined the floor of elite stylists. After winning high honors in the global Shu Uemura Iron Design Challenge, she quickly became recognized for her creativity and technical precision in all aspects of her talent. Well known for her professional makeup and intricate hair, Theresa specializes in hair color, and the French balayage technique. She is an expert on “listening to her clients,” not only giving them what they want, but what looks best. Theresa is a firm believer in continuing education and has broadened her knowledge at the Vidal Sassoon academy in Santa Monica, Shu Uemura Essential design Atelier, and L’oreal Soho Academy in New York City. She has also attended the Oribe Atelier at Oribe Salon in Miami and attends an Oribe New York editorial workshops twice a year. As Creative Director for the salon, Theresa has had the opportunity to work at New York Fashion Week with designers Jason Wu, SUNO, Jill Stuart, Rodarte, Theyskens Theory, Philip Lim, Ostwald Helgason and Harare. She has also styled such celebrities as Mark Paul Gosselaar, Breckin Meyer, Ramon Rodriguez, Paul DiGiovonni and Deb O'Keefe. Her style and execution always have a sophistication hinted with a taste of Hollywood making her an essential part of the José Luis Salon team.
