I am Plus Size Model that is looking to represent creativity in Uk's plus size industry. In 2009, I returned to Plus Size modelling after a career break and successfully became the face of Models of Diveristy, a campaign to promote diversity in the fashion industry.
I am reliable, creative, easy to direct and work with and relish new and exciting challenges.
Due to a family tragedy, I had to take time out to become a professional Foster carer and look after my 3 younger sisters. As they are now older, I have returned to my passion of acting and modelling as well as working in Media Production. I have modelled for Jade Tinkler to promote her photography business, Roy Harris for his Natural Attractions project, Photo East collective, Smile photography, Marks and Spencer’s, I AM A Brand and recently been accepted by Sinclair Model Management as well as being voted the Face of Models of Diversity.
I have constantly had to battle again race and size discrimination all my life. As a carer, I don’t want my sisters to have the same insecurities and anxieties as I did when I was growing up. I believe that the images that surround us in the Media, beauty and entertainment industries contribute to influencing how women feel about themselves and that women should be represented in all our different and glorious forms. All ages, ethnicities, abilities and sizes should be celebrated and presented. Our diverseness is at the heart of our beauty and strength and this should be celebrated. As the Face of Models of Diversity, I want to help raise awareness of our campaign and help to make a change in the industry so that all women get the chance to be represented in the public arena. I'm so humbled and honoured to be part of this campaign.
